PinBall Overlord is a school project made in 1 week with Unity 3D

My role : Game & Level Design

For PinBall Overlord I was the Project Manager and Lead Game & Level Design.


Constraint : Create a pinball machine in 1 week.


Idea : Flipper RPG Rogue Like.

Game Design

-A shop that could influence the player whether it is through the number of balls, their size or their behavior for example.

-Replace the bumpers by different types of enemies with unique properties such as the mage who as long as he is alive leaves areas of ice on the field, or the tank that attracts the balls in a perimeter around him.


Level Design

-We wanted spectacular levels with a progressive challenge.

-Introduction of the 4 different types of enemies during the first 3 levels and then we created much stronger levels mixing all types for the 2 other levels.

-For the last level we wanted a Boss, we decided to put a Slime that splits to finish the game on a fireworks effect.
-To make and equilibrate the levels I drew them beforehand on paper to give me an idea of the number of enemies and collectible that there would be in each level and set up the shop.

-Once the levels were drawn, I reproduced them In-Game before testing and setting up each level individually or modifying some aspects of the level.
